Default psp 2 confirmed

I'm totally down for a psp2 if it comes with a slide down keypad like Mylo
Confirming the rumors that have been floating about for months, SCE UK boss Ray Maguire confirmed yesterday during the PSP in Education initiative launch that the current PSP is only the first iteration, and that a smaller, lighter version of the handheld is in the works.

While no real details were discussed, Maguire did mention that the PSP's main strength will remain intact, with no changes planned for the size of the display.

When GamesIndustry.biz followed up with Sony after the event, however, they were told that Maguire was simply referring to the company's general strategy regarding console development.

"In the longest term, of course we are always looking at ways to continue our platform development, and this normal business practice is what Ray was referring to."

Sounds like a cover up to me! I can just imagine the phone call. "Ray, you aren't supposed to mention anything about that yet. Who do you think you are, Kotaku?"

The PSP is a FANTASTIC machine ... it's just getting smoked by something slightly better.

Sony has a nack of ripping ideas though. It's only a matter of time before they pack in a stylus and pretend the DS never had it first.

I loved my PSP before it was stolen. I look forward to seeing a price drop on the first PSP once the PSP Duece comes out

Dual analog sticks would be cool if they add that.

I really like my PSP for when I'm on tour especially since I can play PSX games on it now.

I like the PSP, just is out of my price range :hs:

and it's pretty much because it had emulator support, but now my DS will have that too

if this psp has as much flaws as the previous psp's (firmware wise) then I'd be interested.
