i asked a customer if i could put her on hold. she said "i'm on a cell phone, will it take long?"

my reponse:
"it will take the same amount of time whether i put you on hold or not."

she was acting like it would take longer if i placed her on hold. her concern was that she was on her cell phone. it'd take me the same amount of time to do what i had to do whether she was on hold or not.
