Well what's going on is this. I came into the dept. and was only suppose to be here tue, wed, and thur. Shortly after i got here like 2 weeks later they fired one of the techs so i took his spot. Now i'm here M-F. But IBM has me listed as a Supplemental Employee meaning i'm under a one year contract and they dont have to give me benefits or anything. Plus the money is about the same as what i was making 2 years ago .

So i came to the conclusion this week that it looks like the chance for me to become a regular full time IBM employee is slim to none, so i started putting my resume out to several places. Now my lead comes to me and says he doesnt want me to leave and how i'm doing everything right which is making me stand out and people are going to bat for me trying to get me on as a full timer. All that is nice and all, but i dont wanna turn down potentially better opportunities that might come my way.

Yes...can't wait to get my tax refund AND the back pay. I'm thinking mostly savings but I'll use part of it to buy a new mattress

Yea - our office has been all messed up for a while for this whole remodel - first they painted the walls w/ this seemingly super toxic paint w/ high odors. Then they covered the painted walls w/ wallpaper and the glue stuff smelled so bad. Now they'll be working on carpet...ugh. The thing that sucks is thats just in my suite - they still have to do the other one after this!

LOL.

There were these "smelly", fat, markers sold when I was a kid. They'd come in a 24 pack and every color smelled like something good. Red = cherry, purple = grape, orange = steak, etc ..

I used to tell the kids, "hey, smell my marker" ... then knock it into their nose when they'd get close enough. :lmao:
