its a hobby like action figures/toys, comics, cars...

 

they came out late last year...those and the fire red 5's came with the 23

the SF on the giants look better then that wanna be tagger SF foolio

i agree, i would have tried to get them


as for the other thing....
its just like anything else you collect what you like to collect. also its like modding your car sorta. you do it to draw some attention but also because you like the style or way something looks. just like watches or sunglasses.
i know i for one like matching shoes somewhat with clothes i wear, different strokes for different folks.

I thought shoes were for walking running and jumping in...even getting them dirty...

 

no way, shoes are made to sit in a closet and gather dust.

 

and toys were made to be played with... and cars to be driven, etc, etc. there are always things people will collect and not use them for what their intended purposes are.
