antenna is broken, no big deal. it's like $5 on ebay. gotta put in an order for another. and i've never had a problem with reception. also better than any phone i've compared it against. :dunno:

battery is original. this thing has to be about 5-6 years old now. it's smacked off the ground countless times. it even flew out of a moving car.. :eek4:

so don't feel bad, it's still doing just dandy, and i haven't spent money on a fancy pants phone yet..
