salvaged title
Maybe I'm overly conservative, but 2 things turn me off from a salvage-titled vehicle.
1) I question the quality of the repair work particularly for collision or theft. If the harness was hacked to shit by thieves... that's an invitation for electrical woes IMO.
2) The issue of insurance and being covered adequately in case of a total loss. If you're only going to get 75% of wholesale, in some cases that's barely more than the car is worth as scrap metal.
I would only consider a salvage titled vehicle for a track slut project that never sees the public roads.

As in a winter beater?
I don't live in the snow belt... and while the majority of drivers are fucking idiots, the benefits of a beater are nonexistent when you consider the cost of gas, insurance and smog checks.
So my answer is still no.

Won't touch one unless it's a track only car.
