Thinking about building myself a new gaming system...
cpu intel 6600
vid. nvidia 8800GT*
about 2GB of RAM
couple of 750GB HDDs
one of them new 850W PS
foxconn MB
and one of them new fangled case.
I already got the LCD monitor so no need to get one of them. Same with mouse/keyboard.
not sure what else I need.
I don't feel like running SLI or OC.
my current rig is about 2 years old running intel 2.4GHz p4 and nvida 6800.
I feel i need an upgrade

6600 should suffice for the next year or two and i doubt any performance gain will be seen with more ram

suggestions?
i'm sure the 15K scsi with 16mb of cache will blow it out of the water
yep the dual core not the quad. i don't see the advantage of running quad. at least not yet. I've run dual xeon with HT on each for a quasi quad and it's not a huge difference except when ripping dvds.
