Transfering money...

Has anyone ever transfered money by writing a check to themselves from one account to another? I need money transfered from a credit union in WA without having to be charged $2.50 everytime I want to take money out

Yeah I can't think of a bank that actually charges for transfers...talk about scraping for money.

I just transfer money between my savings and checking accounts from home. No transfer fee here.
