cheating in nascar?
you know i didnt think of this earlier but...
nascar does alot of community involvement and charity work. they donate millions to charities and the drivers even have their own charities many of them. they give back to the community in droves.
ive never seen or heard of F1 doing anything like that.

Any F1 driver could go race nascar, any rally driver could go race in nascar, but I'm sure a nascar driver couldn't drive in F1 or rally.
and no, i dont think either nascar could easily go into a f1 car or vice versa. your talking two totally different machines with different driving characteristics. they are two vastly different environments..and drivers in each respective league have trained for that league, if they just jumped in an opposing league they would try using skills and characteristics from their home league and that wouldnt work.
and im not of the opinion that either racing type is better. they both have advantages and disadvantages. all ive said is nascar is my personal preference
pshhh...i wasnt using it as an argument just pointing it out

i think he will do somewhat good but not amazing this first year. he is still going to be trying to use his F1 experience and its not going to help as much as you would think.
F1 cars pretty much drive themselves. They have traction control, launch control, stability control, semi-auto transmissions, computers that control everything. NASCAR drivers actually have to drive the cars. Plus NASCAR drivers can actually race with each other. F1 drivers freak out if another car is near them. I remember some of them complaining because Montoya was driving too close to them.
Some of you are aware that there are a couple road courses in NASCAR...right? I personally cant watch it on TV, but being there and hearing the sounds of the car and seeing how fast they are actually going is a whole other ball game.

He had reason to smile. On the second-lap of the second segment, having mastered the luxury of traction control and precision braking, Gordon laid down a lap just 1.3 seconds slower than Montoya's best of the day in the same car.
Those among the F1 contingent were impressed with how quickly Gordon adjusted to the unique machine, despite only logging some seven laps.
