I wouldn't waste my money on a good knife to use it as a box cutter. You'll end up spending more time sharpening it, just get a decent box cutter, when the blade gets dull you can throw it away and put in a new one. You can buy a box of 100 blades for less money than a cheap pocket knife.

Gerber, Kershaw or CRKT will do you right and not break the bank.

Or you can get a Leatherman or other multi-tool and have a knife along with several other tools handy. I carry one of those too. For the tools, not the blade.

box cutters are great. i use those at work, always have a cheap one on me.

at the ups store we had those ones that have the long blade, that you snap the end off, to "sharpen" it. this girl i worked with didnt realize you could just take some pliers and snap the end off, so she said "watch your eyes" and went to press down on it on the counter. :eek3: "woooahhh.. hold on"
