So I finally bought a controller to run 4 HDD's. I currently have a 40gig, 120gig, 250gig (new one).

WindowsXP is on the 40 and it is causing errors everytime I start up windows so I am re-formatting/installing windows.

Now I have the vista Beta version, and XP Pro SP1. Do I:

Install XP Pro on the 250 (have a small 8gig chunk for XP and programs)
Format 40gig, install XP and NOTHING else
Install Vista on one of the drives?

What is the smartest option?

 

Obviously I would make whatever portion has the OS on it the master HDD and boot priority

 

use the 40 for xp

 

Should I partition a part of it?

 

reformat
and i dont mean windows format
30 for xp
10 for playing with vista if you want

 

install Vista on all of them? :dunno:

 

I actually just installed a real version of vista at work after 3 beta trials. It finally runs well!

 

10 is not enough to play with vista.

leave the 40 for xp alone, or
50/50 of the 40 for vista and xp
