Even if he has the magic touch, Lars has lost his edge...as James has IMO. Watching their documentary about making St. Anger pretty much showed how pussy they've gotten.

He's done quite a bit with rock...wow...some classic albums on that list. I still think that the key lies with James/Lars...they need to suck it up.

dunno if anybody has ever seen the chilli peps documentary "Funky Monks" but that was the first time I got turned onto Rick Rubin. I have loved everything he has done with the chilli peps.

I liked St. Anger better than Reload or Load, and actually thought it was pretty decent. Nothing compared to Black and earlier, but better than everything else they did between 1992 and 2002.

I think James needs to start drinking again in order for them to get back on top. :rick:
