had some 2003 Toasted Head Cabernet tonite that is really nice..has an initial plum tone with good tannins. at 14-17 bucks a bottle its a keeper.

What are a couple good red Merlot or Cabernet that i can get at a local liquor store? $15-$25?

All the toasted heads are good, incl. their chardonnay. And normally I hate chardonnay.

yeah I have had their chardonnay on a regular basis, but decided to try their cab tonite..I approve.
Also had a Robert Mondavi Pinot Grigio tonite that was pretty good as well.

I have a bottle of Pinot Noir and Baco Beaujolais on my desk from the Finger Lakes that I am awaiting a REALLY good reason to open thems up.

eh I wanted a cheap pinot grigio I used half the bottle for cooking and drank a few glasses...not the greatest, but paletable.

In red - I enjoy the Koonunga Hill Shiraz/Cabernet.
