Im selling my eg and Im looking for another car. I pretty much have my mind set on either a 99-00 civic si or a 99-01 prelude sh. I really can't decide. I love the comfort and quiteness of the prelude but hate the gas mileage since I commute a lot. I love the gas mileage of the si but honestly I've never driven one, don't know how quiet or loud they are. I like the looks of both cars equally. So what do you guys think?

 

I think the 00 civics are the ones w/ the wierd dash shifter? if so, I dun like drivin em...But i'm short so that affects my car choices, my b/f's prelude I dun like driving cuz with the seat all the way forward it's not a comfortable seating position for me.

 

I would go with the Si. Prelude is heavy, backseat is worthless (if that matters to you), and like you said gas mileage.

 

are you going to modify either one? if that's the case, i'd go with the Si.

 

The 00 Si is not the EP with the in dash shifter, the 00 is the EM.

I'd go with whichever you can find the best deal on. Personally, I like the prelude better.
