all great works of art. you could honestly read almost any major work of literature and with the correct argument have it seen as a impact on society. most great works of art are meant to have multiple meanings and impact different people in different ways.

Because art is a comment on life and current trends in society. Many times it points out what is ugly about a society and when enough people read or study the work then a social change is made in the people regardless of what laws are in place

yes

It can create a revolution of violent proportions such as the Bolshevik revolution or it can be one of peaceful change such as ...oh lets say the hippie movement ( :barf: ) as example.

Depends on the idea being promoted in the book and how volatile the people ar at the time.

There are others that cause social reform in the system itself such as Diary of A.N. which caused a change in the child services of the welfare system.

So some good and some bad almost equally.
