i'm working on an acer aspire e360


the damned thing just keeps restarting. it was taken out of standby one day and looked like it was in the middle of shutting down. it hasn't worked since

it wont load off of te restore cds it just tells me something is missing, and the same thing when starting off the harddrive... WTH?

did you try a fresh install w/o the restore cds?

can it boot to any other bootable cd?

you can always manually pull drivers from the acer restore discs.

i got my acer drivers off the website
not hard if you know where to look but their webservers are booty

well, i dont know what the hell is up with it, probably a virus or something, but who knows

this girl just has bad luck with this stuff, and i'm sick of trying to fix people's problems. it's annoying because all this stuff is so indescript when it comes to computers. esp. now that the sotware and hardware are fully integrated

i should just stop trying to fix people's computers.

In that situation... I usually ask them "Do you run any programs that absolutely need Windows or just internet and email?"

i would have used a different copy of windows, but i want her to be legal and had no MCE CD
