for those that have one & want another, or those that want one, i think i've decided to sell the one i just bought a few weeks ago.

i like the keyboard & all, but i find i really have no use for all the pda functions & find the simple things i do use it for to be far more difficult than a regular cell phone, so that outweighs the convience of the keyboard.

last nite, i called cingular to see when my contract date was on the addl line on my family plan cause i was wanting to upgrade both phones. my primary line was off contract & after a little convincing on my part, they cancelled the contract on my addl line (wasn't due till july) so that made both lines available for contract extension w/ new equipment. i know in the previous thread i made about the 8525 when i got it, i said i didn't want a new contract, but have decided that i'm gonna stay w/ cingular for awhile....given that i get the nice 40% employee discount.

anywhoo, after getting my current line's contract cancelled, i called letstalk.com & ordered a new motorola l7 black slvr for each line & then added a 3rd line w/ another slvr. 1st & 3rd line's phones were free & the 2nd line one was $99.99

so my new ones will be here wed & after that, i'm gonna put the 8525 on ebay & sell it.

my plan is to put in ebay next week for a starting bid of $400 + $12 s/h

buy-it-now price will be $475 & will ship for free if bubble wrapped & sent USPS express w/out the box if came in or $5 same shipping in the box

1) 8525 barely used.....no screen scratches at all. all software & cables included
2) a leather case
3) 13 unused screen protectors & 1 currently installed on phone
4) 1 car charger from cingular

thought i'd give the fellow HANers first crack at it. anybody interested, i'll take $450 buy-it-now & will even make the auction for the buyer & pm the auction # to them to close & pay.....but i will only take money orders since i don't want to give my $$$ to paypal

By the way, the official corporate name of Cingular is now AT&T Mobility.

well we have been told until all the legalities are finalized, the new at&t branding isn't suppose to be used by us, but i have noticed all the call centers are using it now

btw, now that you have paid your bill, you can buy my phone

I would consider the 8525 but whatever the hell we should call the company now hasn't built 3g service here yet and won't for a while, and I don't send enough text messages compared to the ratio of time spent with my phone in my pocket to carry around something that chunky.

yes, the merger is final, but the transition period is just starting.....in the interum, we were told not to refer to ourselves as at&t employees yet.....trucks still say bellsouth, as do our uniforms. we aren't even allowed to order new uniforms till we are given the ok from corprate
