I use T9 all the time, and switch to abc when the word I want doesn't come up (got it memorized already) lol. I'm pretty quick with it though, at first I was like wtf but now that's all I use.

i figured i should use it, so i started and now its all i use. next phone is qwerty fo sho

 

On my phone as I'm typing out a word in T9 it shows a pulldown menu with possible choices and at the bottom it has 'Add Word?' where you can add a word to the T9 dictionary. It also will predict common phrases so if you type in like "I'm heading out" it might fill in the rest of the way with "to the bar."

But this phone runs Windows Mobile Smartphone Edition so I think its T9 is smarter than the average T9. Text entry on previous phones I've had was rather more cumbersome.

 

Texting words like "tonight" was a pain because IGH is the same key.

 

T9 is great on some phones (i.e. the RAZR) but I have a QWERTY phone now so it's a lot easier to type.

not a problem for me. I just hit the right arrow (joystick on mine) and input the next letter.

 

what about words like "attack" where you have to wait for the first t to finish before you can do the second?
