Default Wii Crew, component cables @ Wal-Mart for $19.72

I just went to Wal-Mart and scored something similar to this ...

The packaging is in the same colors, but a bit more boxy. The cable length is 8 feet and has silver ends, not gold.

Same vendor though, "Griffin".

The cables pictured are $60 at Best Buy, Circuit City, and Frys.

Component cables from Nintendo.com (which are IDENTICAL) to the ones @ Wal-Mart are $30 + shipping + wait time.

These are cheaper + no wait

Oh god, I just did the same thing.

I JUST ordered from Monoprice this morning. (10ft HDMI to HDMI, and other stuff) Next to these component cables were a "Griffen" PS3 HDMI cable ... $33.

:X

Go to Bestbuy and see their brands ... nothing is under $100 ... ever.

For some reason I kept thinking Wii supported up to 720  so I was like, "Andrew didn't get HDMI cables? How weird... he's high tech and shit..."

That's a good deal though

I hooked up the new 52in tube yesterday ... here's what I tested.
Disney's Cars - Progressive Scan (no up conversion)
" ... SWEEEEEEEEEEEET."

TNTHD - Bulls vs Mavs
":boink:  ... MAN, DENG IS UGLY"

Wii - Sports
" "

480p max or not, anything has to be better than the garbage I saw yesterday.

it's because they are still using gold contacts and high quality materials.. the shit of it is since the signal is digital theres no apparent loss to using bargain base shitty cables, at least for short lengths.

monster is very scared right now. this cable basically is going to make all of their hard work go down the tubes-- they can't charge $100 a cable anymore and still expect them to sell.

so worth it to upgrade or not? my tv does display in 480p but it doesn't seem that much worth it over the standard cables on a 20in LCD TV

if you run it in 12ft+ lengths, sure ... but for what it is ... a $40 diff, I don't care if something isn't sky blue-r than the other. h:
