I personally like the low cut mids, but yea $85 is too much even for the highs. I get mine for $55 (tax included) at my local sneaker store.

Too plain and expensive for my tastes

 

Simple + comfortable ftw. I don't like shoes that look like they can blast off like rocket boots and feel clunky when you walk in them. I've always bought shoes based on simplicity and their ability to preform in a tactical situation.

I won an auction on ebay for a white pair for $45 shipped, I won it in October and waiting til the summer to wear em.

Usually though I just go to my local sneaker store and pick an all white pair and all black pair for $110 tax included.
