Default Bit Pim v. Bluetooth

I got my bluetooth dongle today and was trying to connect my cell phone to my computer. I got the drivers for it, installed it and opened up BitPim and the bluetooth program. I paired my phone with the computer and set up Serial Port Service with my phone on COM4. Well I tried to have BitPim detect my phone, but it would not. It doesn't come up with my phone under the types of phones, even though the driver is installed.
Any thoughts or hints on getting it to work?

It wasnt that hard for me. Bitpim should recognize the blue tooth as a standard COM device. The error might be in your reciever. Is your phone showing up?

I connect my phone with serial port. It pops up saying connected via com4. I go to BitPim and have the phone set to auto, since for some reason it doesn't show mine, and the comm port to 4. It searchs but gets nothing.

Ugh. What a pain in the ass. In order to get pictures off my phone I need to create a new pix message, save as draft then get it from my computer.
