:yes: only if you have the supporting TV of course.
If you're not running the perfect specs (HDMI, 720p compatible screen, etc), then it's pointless.
also, remember ... there are limitations on movies. Camera's used to film weren't setup for this high of a resolution. You might actually make things look worse in some cases by exploiting flaws in older technology.
