My girlfriend has been trying to get me to start watching Firefly, so last night I finally started it. Let me just say, great show! At first it was a little weird. Decent writing, but it could have been better, and it got a lot better.

I just got done watching JaynesTown. :rofl: So hilarious. I went and downloaded the song.

 

Firefly is one of the brilliant, shining moments of American TV, and was killed before it was able to hit it's prime by Fox.

 

it would have been still going strong if it wasnt for some stupid fox execs....

the movie is pretty good too i thought. i actually just watched it again on thursday

 

Hell yeah the show kicks ass! There is a nice mix of everything within the story. The movie ain't too shabby either :goodjob:

'twas a great show, killed before it's time because it was in like 4 different timeslots in its 12-episode run. I actually caught the premiere, but only saw one other episode when it aired because I could never figure out when it was on. I ended up downloading the rest. o: But I bought the DVD set as soon as it was available, so I figure I made up for the downloads.

I actually enjoyed the show more than the movie (Serenity). The movie was much darker than the show -- which isn't a bad thing, but it seemed to lose a lot of the character interactions that made the show so enjoyable.
