saints vs. bears
they put a beat down on the Jets and Bills this year .. .both teams beat the Pats.
They stuck it to a surging NYG team in week 10, they even bombed the defending NFC champs, Seattle, 2 times.
Although shakey towards the end, the defense is ranked #1 in the league. They earned it.

5th in the league in total yards allowed. And there is no way Chicago had the #1 defense in the league. That honor lies squarely with Baltimore.
but we still lost, the bears deserve the win.
the media was so far up NO's ass this week for being a cinderella ... after the whomping, they tried to tie another human interest story to the game ... "Lovie Smith, first black head coach in the superbowl!"
Then ... "Dungee ... umm, 2nd black head coach to the superbowl!"
these next 2 weeks will be a Peyton Manning knob slob fest.

GO BEARS!!!!!
after watching plays and highlights all night ... few things stuck in my head.
1. Reggie Bush.
Although a GREAT play (the 88 yard'er), there was NO NEED for the taunt on Urlacher. You got everyone beat by 15 yards, to turn around and point with your left hand?! The flip and dance was nothing more than the icing on the ragecake. I'm sure that threw the Bears' defense into overdrive.
I remember this one play where Urlacher unloaded on a TE or WR in the center of the field ... ouuuuch.
2. Mark Anderson.
The rookie defensive end looked like he was shot out of a cannon all night. The jumps he'd get off the ball were huge.
3. Benson / Thomas
Benson is a pile mover. Thomas picks and dances through defenses. The mixed running styles made for an effective combo.
4. Rex Grossman
What do Manning, Brees, and Brady have in common? They all threw interceptions. Grossman was the only QB not to have a turnover yesterday.
5. Brad Maynard
The Bears punter kept the surging Saints pinned deep on several occasions. The Bush 88 yard'er was a freak play, there's no way that'd happen more than once.
6. Clean play
0 turnovers, 1 penalty, 0 sacks for the Bears. That's mistake free football.
