In regards to sideshows, things have been happening starting a few years ago. Its gotten better. Overall though, :dunno:.

Just curious, what do you think needs to be done to prevent these crimes?

 

police should have the ability to react swiftly and strongly, without fear of litigation when a strong response is clearly warranted. did you know that, in a recent survey, cops stated that they are more afraid of getting sued than dying on the job? that's pathetic.

if it happens that cops are unable to handle the situation, bring in the national guard.

 

What type of cops got surveyed? h: Anyway, I agree with your solution on how to handle situations like those. But I dont think they play much of a part in preventing these types of crimes. Its one of those proactive vs reactive things.

and you bring up a good point with the proactive vs. reactive.. i'm convinced that a large part of violent crime would just not happen if it weren't so damn easy to get away with it.

Seriously though, I woulda just called a few friends with certain "weapons" and came back with 3-4 cars. After that I doubt they'd do it again, or atleast think twice before touching my car.
