It's a pretty simple recipe:
In a bowl combine about:
4 cut up apples
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
Place this in the bottom of a baking dish...a nine inch cake pan will work
Mix up about it's okay if it comes out a little lumpy
1 1/4 cups of Jiffy Mix or Bisquick
1 egg
1/2 cup melted shortning (I use butter flavored Crisco sticks)
1/2 cup of milk
Spoon this mixture over the apple mixture (or whatever fruit you use)
Then spread it across the top
Bake for 15 minutes at 400
Lower temp and continue to bake for 10 minutes at 350.
