i've seen plenty of vids and know people whose engines blew up or axles snapped or whatever and they didn't go cartwheeling into a cornfield.

this is a case of driver error, not mechanical failure. :down:

 

I've never seen a missed shift end up spinning in circles then into a corn feild.

 

then you haven't seen enough. there are plenty of idiots that lose control just by driving straight.

edit > hmm.. watching the vid again, i may have to take back some of what i said. something seems to let go while he's in gear... still, he shouldn't have spun out like that, and he wouldn't have had he not decided to go speed racer on a residential road.

 

I agree, no need to rice so close to a farm, there is probably plenty there.
