had a friend who worked for bellsouth that told me & about 10 othere people that they were having a hiring frenzy. we all studied for the entrance exam, but i was the only one who passed all the tests, then i harrassed the lady in hiring for a month till she finally said "well we had somebody drop out last minute...can you start on monday?"

that was on thursday aft, i left my old job early, called in sick fri, & called in & quit monday. i had been there 9.5 years & started off w/ bellsouth @ almost $2.50/hr more thatn my old job & was at the bottom of the pay scale w/ guranteed pay raises every 6 month till i hit top-out @ 5 years....since then it's just been cost of living increases built-into the contract.

i've been here 8 years in march & now make almost 3x what i was making at my previous job

Not a pro golfer in the sense everyone thinks...I'm a golf pro. I work at a golf course, help run the place, will eventually teach lessons and run a course of my own. There are local tournaments for the club pros where you can win $1-3k...but being a touring pro is ridiculously hard, and expensive.

I do get to play a shitload of free golf though.

For freelance work, mostly word of mouth or referrals from other musicians.

For the touring group I'm in, I won an audition.

For private students, personal recruitment.

Then I have a regular job to help pay the bills. I interviewed for this. Found it from jobbing.com

Drunken conversation and cocktail napkin planning to form a magazine coupled with my constant posting of images and whoring on forums.
