Who has to use a trackball at work and hates it?

Yup.....I clean mine at the end of the week on fri/sat cuz it always has that black shit stuck on the rolling sticks inside.

I use them at home and prefer them to a drag mouse.

Yeah me too, there are a few people that have optical trackballs which makes that problem better but i still hate the whole idea of the trackball. If everone first learned on a trackball i could see it being different.

I have one but it's not at work and I love it. I find other mouse devices a pain in the ass, I never seem to have enough real estate to cover the page quickly without lifting off.

I hated those things. I'd always have to replace my mouse after 6 months because it wouldn't drag properly.

Ever since my optical (circa: 2001) I haven't changed it. Best $15 I ever spent.

I can't use track balls, I just messed with my pointer speeds till it fit my mouse pad real estate

i just keep my optical mouse at the highest sensativity...real estate is never an issue.
