This should be interesting
I wonder if the NAACP is going to jump all over this case since it is a civil rights violation.

I would put money that they never even acknowledge that it happened or avoid it like the plague.

The district also discovered the Armstrongs no longer live in the Phalen Lake School boundary because they moved last year.
So even though the district apologized, if they want to still go to Phalen, they are going to have to get their own ride.

This is why the parents were not notified of the change in bus routes. It appears as if they had been taking the wrong bus to the wrong school anyway.
Granted, the driver should not have refused them a ride, it's still obvious that the parents were not disclosing their address in effort to keep their kids in a different school district. This is illegal.
Yup. But if the kids were kicked off because they DIDN'T speak English, there would be a shitstorm.

The problem comes in that they were kicked off the bus because they spoke english. Read up on Brown vs Board of education it was a landmark decision in 56 (I think thats the year) which states that seperate is not equal. This is a Supreme Court ruling and not some local kangaroo court who decided this so it holds until over turned.

None of that is important in the matter really. There are thousands that do this daily and I did it myself through high school. Not a big deal really.

I can see the school using that to their advantage, however.

Hell, they might as well just send all the white children to the back of the bus.
I just commented on the same scenario.
