there must be somethin...maybe it's kinda considerred like commission.
cuz they do this at national chain resturaunts...not just mom and pop joints
most waiters/waitresses do get hourly around 2.65 but thats legal because of their tips....
technically last i knew the law was that they at the end of each week their pay including tips had to figure out to the minimum hourly wage. or last i knew thats what it was i dont think its changed though. thats why waitstaff is supposed to claim a majority of their tips but most never do
they have to claim how much money they made during the night. So if they averaged say 13 an hour then they have to claim like 30 or 40 bucks or some weird shit. I don't really do payroll stuff at pizza hut now. I just drive, managing ain't worth it.
