Linksys + custom Linux firmware FTW. Thibor fixed alot of the problems with my WRT54GS.

Did you ever try upgrading the firmware? Maybe it's your wireless card.

I've had nothing but good experience with Linksys and bad with everything else lol.

yeah, the router is old too though BEFW11S4 wireless B. I don't think it plays well with other brands.

but my inlaws have all linksys and still get dropped now and then. I use to be connected to their wifi w/ a WET11 and a linksys wired router and still had problems. I liked the settings available in the linksys, I just didn't like having to get up to unplug or logging in on my wired pc to renew.

BTW my router is in my living room, 360 wired directly, desktop wired directly, an we have 2 laptops running wifi about 10-12' away...signal was poor, I played with the antenna's and still couldn't do better.

I only went w/ Linksys cuz of HAN...oh well. I'm up and running now at better speeds, should have went N, but I'm not baller.

That might be your problem if your B is connected to a G :hs:

My computer at my house was running on B for a bit while everyone else was G, it kicked me out a lot or just cut off, switched to G and I've had no problems every since and it's been a good 6-7 months.

Trust me, I tried everything...if I didn't know I googled, and you can find every problem there.
