So yeah...Tuesday I went on a last-minute ski trip to Snowshoe Mountain with some friends of mine...just got back about an hour ago.

I tried skiing Wednesday morning for the first time and sucked at it. I went out even though I was sick. I was gonna go again and keep trying, but Thursday morning I felt like shit, and the rest of the week was warm and rainy, so there was no snow on the slopes.

We did go to some kind of free party they had up there, and Biz Markie was up there DJing...I must say, we all agreed he was pretty damn good. Awesome scratching skills, that guy has. And he played a wide variety of old school stuff...everything from Grandmaster Flash, Sugarhill Gang, 2 Live Crew, and Outkast to Bon Jovi, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Marley and finishing with a James Brown tribute and the last song, My Way by Frank Sinatra. We had a ton of fun, but I'm not sure exactly how much of that fun could be attributed to alcohol. h: He also sang his one hit, and couldn't remember the words. :chuckles:

All-in-all, it was a pretty fun trip, and exactly the vacation I needed. Now back to work tomorrow.
