Default any recommendations

looking at picking up a surround sound system for my apartment tonight....

right now im at a toss up between these two

Sony HTDDW700

800W
no dvd player not a big issue i already have a nice progressive scan and i want this more for music than anything





or the phillips hts3450

1000W

dvd player, plays divx, and has usb input...


edit: i dont want anything insane....not looking to spend any more than say 250

we have the philips...the fing remote doesnt work cept for the volume and play buttons...id go with the sony

I like my Yamaha.

Personally I would stay away from packaged DVD players like that, they tend to be bottom line and trash in a short time.

seriously almost bought that one....was right on the edge of buying it....but then i turned around and they had a pioneer basically same features but with a dvd player. it was open box picked it up for 270 wiht a 40 best buy gift card....seemed like a good deal to me
