any magnets i should worry about or anything?

just make sure you're not covering any vents and you'll be fine.

Keep it away from the power transformer, which is usually right behind the AC plug. Otherwise, no problem.

so i bought 50ft of speaker wire, so i could put my reciever in my room and play music through my computer to the living room (i got sick of disconnecting my laptop from my monitor and carrying it back and forth and trying to find somewhere to put it).

wire was too short. great.

so now my computer and monitor and reciever have taken over the table in the living room.

Magnets do not harm your harddrives as much as people think. Think about it. The motor running the hd has a magnet.
Sure if you have large magnets on it it will damage it.

Sure if you have large magnets on it it will damage it.
agreed. the magnets in hard drives are super strong
