It should say on the receipt..I know some stores give cash back like anywhere from 7 days to 30 days...and then after that you get store credit..I'm sure if you asked a manager or something they could give you cash back...

How much is the item in question?

why would it matter? Both are stores that sell items with gift reciepts. Actually I would think Old Navy would be the one with store credit policy over Frys.

It would matter considering most if not all electronic related items can only be exchanged for the same product/or similar or you get store credit back.

As far as I know, unless you bought it at some balla exclusive store, it can be return and you get cash back.

actually cashback was for 267 worth of clothes I got for christmas. But I see your point I guess 2100 purchase would be too much.
