Default *crunch* I totally owned that cop

Rear ended a Chevy Silverado. I was in a turn lane behind him, we had a green light, but he slammed on his brakes because there was a cop car coming from the opposite direction but in OUR lane (with his lights on, probably responding to a call), and I didn't see the cop at all so I wasn't able to brake in time.

Laaaame.

I'm assuming the Chevy Silverado suffered no damage?

Visably, it looks fine. The bumper might have been jolted but there weren't any scrapes or punctures on it.

The value of the car is ~2500. I might just total it and buy a beater civic until I can finance a better car. I'm guessing with the damages to the headlight, bumper, and hood, with painting and everything else, I can buy a beater for less money anyway.

So you'd rather spend a couple grand versus a couple hundred fixing the Teg? Makes sense. All you need is a junkyard headlamp and you'd be good to go.
