NFS: Most Wanted
the NFS series started as a driving simulator.
and why not compare the two? it's interesting to see that a small group of guys can work together and develop something far more refined than what a big budget studio can put out.
regardless, i don't need any comparisons to know that Most Wanted is lacking in MANY areas. this just speaks in volumes as to the quality of game that consoles see.

i thought the game was really fun, sorry you didnt
most wanted was just ok, NFS Carbon is so much better and so much more fun to play. better cars, good customizations, and pursuit mode is a lot of fun. I love taking out the Shelby GT500 and playing a scene from out of gone in 60 seconds. you can tell the music composer is going for that vibe, because when you evade the cops and go into cool down mode you can hear a similar musical theme that is also in the movie
Hot Pursuit. I still have the PC version, and I can still remember downloading cars, tracks and track editors. Game kicked ass when it was new.
