Does the Friend Zone Really Exist?
Serious topic.
Is there truly a friend zone with women or is it just something guys make up in their head? There are two occassions that I remember clearly where I "accidently" broke out of the friend zone.
There was this girl who I had been friends with from class for about nine months. I know that she had never thought anything about us getting involved further then one day she crashed in my bed. Nothing happened that night but the next time we hung out we started hooking up and dated for a while. I had been in the friend zone.
The next case there was this girl I had known since 3rd grade. We didn't see much of each other in HS but we ran into each other in Philadelphia when I was a freshman. We were friends on and off in college (partially attributed to me dating one of her friends for about 2 years). Right at the end of her stay in Philadelphia, we started dating. She moved to Maryland, told me she loved me, and I ended it.
So there we have two examples of leaving the friend zone. Is this something that is a fluke or can it happen all the time? I wonder because there is this woman who is dating someone I know but considers me her best friend. I haven't known her or him for that long (her about five months; him a year) but both have said their relationship "is what it is". In fact, she and I have been hanging out a lot recently without him. But I digress to my original question; does the friend zone really exist?

yep, its when you try to play electric eel downstairs but she has no intention of it. some women like to have friends of the opposite sex without having sex....what kinda crazy concept is that?
There is absolutely a friend zone. It can be broken out of...but it's not the norm.
