Default xbox360 gurus help!

So I got the 360 core and I hooked it all up. I do an update so I can play nfs carbon. Now It's telling me I have to have a storage device to play the game. Do I have to buy a damn HD to play games on the 360 or what?

I didn't even think you would be able to update w/o a hard drive. But yea get one...

Damn I didnt even realize that it didnt come with one. My girl got it for me, I had no clue. Thanx for the info.

It's a BIOS flash and temp stores in the onboard memory

I also don't have a hd and when I play elder scrolls 4 oblivion, sometimes it gets all freezy, would installing a hard drive fix this??
