Default Computer Nerds come hither

So Im trying to download the installation cd for the wireless router on my parents home computer.

I downloaded it off benkin's website and everytime I try to install it I get this error

"Error: Unable to Load DLL"

What the fuck does that mean?

Keep in mind im about as good as computers as Lt is at life so I need some help

you dont need ANY driver for a router.

edit: wait... do you mean wireless card?

well i got a laptop for christmas and im trying to get my wireless to work.

on my parents personal computer i bought a router for it and there is no software for it on the computer.

Help me jani

did you try redling the driver?
out of the box your wireless card (not the router) on your laptop should be working fine
did you try resetting the router?

routers are plug any play.

is the home pc wired or wireless

cable or dsl?

yes I did try to re download the driver and I got the same error.
I did try to re set the router also.

Home pc is wired. DSL

Also let me make some more info clear. my brothers and sisters and my laptop can find the router fine, that is not a problem (router is plugged in but not connected to the net). But when I try to connect it to the internet I cannot get on any websites on my parents computer. Is that due to having no installation software on my parents computer.

Sorry for being so computer retarded. I really need to get into this stuff

Ok so let me get this right. You have a wireless router. Your parents are hooked up to the router via network cable. You and everyone else is wireless. You can get on websites on your own latop. But on the parents PC it doesnt work...am i correct?
