Mitsubishi LCD TVs
Does anybody have any experience with Mitsubishi flat panel LCD tvs. We are looking to get around a 46 inch and saw a Mitsubishi we really liked. It is model number 46131 and is HD 1080p. The picture looked better then the Sonys, Panasonics, and Samsungs we compared it too. I would say go for it but I am not very sure how reliable Mitsubishi TVs generally are. Any info and experiences would be appreciated.
I don't know anything about Mitsubishi LCD tv's but I will tell you this. My soon to be in-laws had a mitsubishi rear projection tv that lasted them nearly 25 years before they upgraded last year. Granted you had to wait like 15 minutes for the tv to warm up before the image was no longer staticy but that was only for the last year or so that they had it. That's pretty good build quality IMO.
When we were at Circuit city we compared the Sony model, Samsung, Sharp, Panasonic, and a few others with the Mitsubishi of around the same specs and price and to my eyes and my parents the Mitsu had a sharper nicer picture. The sony model was over $500 more yet the picture did not look as good to us and I originally was set on Sony or Panasonic mainly because of their reputations. From my limited research and reading about experiences it seems Mitsubishi makes very good durable TVs. I had a 94 Eclipse so I know their cars are not the most reliable. I think we are going to do a little more comparing before buying but the Mitsubishi is a strong possibility.
