Taking pics is even more weird when you make a living taking them. These cameras have a lot of bells and whistles. It can be a little overwhelming. :hs:

I just hate it when everyone assumes because you do it for a living that you are more than happy to come over and take pictures of their little brat or will shoot their cousins wedding for free.

OMFG!!!! The man speaks the truth h:

Then on top of that, the only time they have is at high noon when the sun is in the most FUCKED UP spot. Upon your last shot their question is, "So, when do you think I can get them?" :madr:

Hell I got roped into doing bar mitzvahs and weddings for cheapass relatives back when I was in high school. I totally remember the multiple naggings from my mother, "Michael, (insert latest cheapo relative here) would really like to know when you'll ship them the negatives...."

Yet another reason why I won't spend the money on the gear needed for doing that sort of thing.

No, I knew of the D40 as well. The D80 basically replaced the D70s, still in their entry-level fam. Definitely nice cameras without a question, I just prefer Canon.

True fucking story. People don't understand that photography, along with computers are what bring the bread home for a lot of people. I still need to create some business cards/site. h:

People would do that to me when I was doing Kitchen & Bath remodeling, they assumed I could do their work for less because they knew me or because they worked with my wife...

My gf's coworker is having computer problems and her husband does carpentry. He recently replaced some carpet for one of their coworkers for $425 and my gf volunteered me to work on their computer. I was like :hahano:.

"His profession is working on carpet, mine is working in IT. They make their money the same way I do just a different profession. What makes you think I'll go look at it for free??" I still don't think she understands.
