i've been contemplating signing up for the marines lately and i think im just gonna do it. that being said, i need to drop about 20 pounds to make the max weight for my height.
i need a good workout routine i can do at home. i need to work on not only getting my weight down but increasing my stamina. i know already i'll be doing some running, crunches, pushups, pullups, and other calesthenics as these are whats really focused on during boot camp. not too concerned with weight training as im not looking to buff up. mind you i dont lead a very active life so i would work my way up to higher reps and faster run times.
throw out some suggestions for other things you think would be a good idea, any tips you can offer. if i signed up today i would delay going to boot camp for a few months so i have the time to get in shape. i havent smoked the sticky icky or had a drink in 2 months so that's a start.

Do circuit training. It's pretty much a string of exercises with no rest in between.
When I ran track we used to do these:
10x push-ups
sprint 30m
10x crunches
sprint 30m
10x jumping jacks
sprint 30m
10x something else
sprint 30m
10x something else
It was killer but I was fucking ripped in HS :eek5: Totally worked.

my ultimate goal would be a perfect score of 300 on the physical fitness test which would be 3 mile run in 18 minutes or less, 20 pullups no time limit, and 80 situps in 2 minutes.
it's a pretty high goal but i think i can do it :hs:
