Anyone have a Blu-Ray burner?

I think I'll stick with a Denon or Samsung 1080P Upconvert DVD Player for now.

It's all Sony's fault. They always have to come up with some lame proprietary format that competes with a much more open standard:

Betamax
ATRAC
Memory Stick
SACD
SDDS surround
UMD
Blu-ray

The only time Sony has come out with a good format is when they have been willing to collaborate with more than just one partner-in-crime company, and they managed to invent the CD. The 3.5" floppy disk was alright too.

not gonna happen right now. They have certain licensing issues that specifically work against something like that happening.

I wouldn't expect it for quite some time.
