Default I hate when I do stupid things

h:

Grabbed the new camera and loaded it with fil and went to take a few shots of my daughter today.

Push the shutter and nothing...change some settings and try again...nothing.

So I figure the batteries are too low so I switch them out and ...yep nothing.

So at this point I am getting worried I am going to have to go and take it back due to malfunction of some sort. To avoid this I break out the manual to make sure I didn't miss something along the way. Nope it's all good according to the manual. so I remove the film back and test fire it a few times in a blacked out room and it works fine without the film back in it...hmmm.

Finally I wound the film out and pull it out and examine how I loaded it and sure enough I put the film in backwards so that it was starting on the takeup reel instead of the start reel h:

How embarrassing

Meh......
Not even close to how embarrassed you would have been if you actually took the camera back claiming malfunction. :chuckles:

This is true. It sucks it took me almost 8 hours to finally figure out the issue though. Oh well the joys of figuring an entirely different design of camera.

Eh, it only took you so long because you don't think of the most obvious, blatant things. I do that too. I'll look for my keys for 10 minutes and then realize they're in my pocket

I did that tonight too h:

I put them in the kitchen where I used to always place them but hadn't for a long time and was going crazy looking for them, then my daughter points to them and asks if these are the set I am looking for.

ps, did you have any power outage tonight? My power went out for about an hour and a half because of that transformer explosion in Beaverton.

Unrelated but I'm now reminded of this.

I gave my father my old G4 400 like 3 years ago. His very first computer. A year ago he bought a PC from a friend, and just recently the video card failed and he bought another one. It was weird hearing him say "PCI card" . Anyways, before he installed it he called me and asked, "When I install the new card, do I leave the computer on, or on standby?"

:doood:

I told him, "Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude! ( I never call him dude) pull the cord out of the wall! That's how off it should be." :lmao:

No I have yet to see any power outage at all. I heard half the town was out because of that though

Weird. A small section of Venice Blvd. was knocked out in West L.A. Street lights were off for blocks.

Haha. You suck! The east side over here hasn't had many problems. A couple 100+ year old trees were ripped out of the ground at my college though.
