I used to deliver pizza.
$2 is absolute minimum. $3 is decent. $4 is a good tip. $5 is a "Thank you very much" tip. More then that is the same thing... plus you put their name down in your notepad and remember to hussle with their food and put it ahead of other orders if need be.
Less then $2... I'm talking like a buck or less even... don't expect to get your food on time next time around. You name IS taken down in the notebook too... and sometimes other information. Such as the Mercedes in your driveway that was unlocked, or the AMEX card you used to pay with along with your name which was on the card and your address. Not saying I did that... just saying it could happen

haha thats really funny. i know the guy delivers pizza's back home, decent guy and i always hit him up like 5-6 bucks delivery usually cuz its late. after the first two times he started bringin me free orders of breadsticks and ive even had him pick me up beer when we were out some nights.
thats my perfect example to my cheap ass buddies why i usually tip more than anyone else. cuz 1. ive been in the industry and i know what its like living off tips and 2. u tip well u get the premium benefits.. i.e faster service, free extras, and more attention

Yeah...$3/tip might not be much...but hey it's about twice the normal gratuity rate of 15%
About the delivery time...it took 2 hours. I was about to starve. I was pretty patient about it. I got really hungry and called the place about an hour and a half into the wait...but just to make sure my online order was processed. My girlfriend on the other hand...wasn't patient. Kept telling me every 10 minutes that I should get my money back. But she's a redhead...and has a short temper.
