hopefully for you your first job isnt at a shop where u buy ur own spray equipment...alot of my old customers had all their own guns... and its really easy to rack up a couple grand in guns really quick
I already have the Iwata lph400, which I use for mostly base, im thinking about buying another Iwata lph400 for clear, and possibly a sata jet with the 1.9 tip for surfacer. I get a very nice discount through school, and I have up to 6 months after school with that discount. I like to ahve my own guns so that I know they are cleaned properly after use, but thats just me.

Yeah that was my case. I found an HVLP gun pretty cheap though second hand, and the rest for spraying base and primer I used other peoples.

the fun part of paint and body work is when its not 100% perfect for the customer, and you're having to redo shit 3 or 4 times.
Oh yeah most shops here the painters are usually extraordinarily good at what they do, but every once in a while you screw up, but everyone makes mistakes and has their off days. Its just that some shops cant afford those kind of days.
