I'm thinking about pickin up a suit at the local department store....are suits listed in sizes such as XXL or so on or in numbers like 15, 16, 17.....and whats the conversion from Letters to Numbers.

I kinda wanted to get some ideas first...so i don't end up spending 2 hours trying on suits

i think jackets are measured in chest size, and denoted by s/r/l for length.

youve never had a suit before?

generally speaking, you go by the chest size like 42 or 44 or 46 and so on. then you pick L, R, S, for long, regular, short. pants, are regular pants sizes by the waist.

best thing to do is however to get it all tailored to fit your body. but if youre in a rush and/or dont care then you can just get the "pre-fitted" ones.

I've rented tux's but I don't have a suit

Theres a deal for 2 suits for $100

So you think the pre-fits would be alright for just one nite?
