better than wii'ing all over a thread.


I want to play GTA and GT:HD, but I don't think it's worth it yet and I'm still not liking the way they are doing GT:HD.

 

What is going to be so different?

 

GT4 on roids. It has some updated cars, but all graphics will be brodcasted in 1080 by 720

not at all. GT is one of the few franchise titles Sony exclusively has. It's like M$ handing over Halo to Sony.

not true 1080i. It rendered, I believe, a 480p image, blew it up to a 960i image, and then drew black bars around the side to expand it to 1080i.

And, to answer your question: Grapically, god yes. It's beautiful to even watch the compressed videos on the internet. Gameplay, it's mostly the same, and that's why I think they've released this as a tech demo and are concentrating on a whole new GT.

 

So I warmed up the PS3 for the first time yesterday. I was blown away by the 720p given by Resistance: Fall of Man. I flipped on the Wii to play some bowling ... it felt like I was playing some Mickey Mouse bullshit. The gameplay is terrific on the Wii ... but I feel a bit ripped by the graphics.

When the PS2 launched, the first round of titles looked nothing more than really good PSOne games. The 1st round PS3 games are already matching the 360's. I can't imagine what these things will look like in a year. With 1080p, blu-ray media of 50GB, and features up the wahzoo ... I can say, PS3 is worth $599.

Even playing a DVD has become better. It's such a high quality image being displayed that Disney's Cars on the PS3.
